Aromatherapy Inhaler for Dizziness/Lightheadedness, bypassing blood-brain Barrier

I was feeling dizzy a few days back. Looking back, I think it was due to low blood pressure since I was running around like a chicken without head and forgot to eat and being worn out in general. I could go to see my doctor and most likely would be prescribed some anti dizziness medication. However, I decided to use essential oils.

I would like to say though, that finding the root cause is the first step to feel better. Essential oils will help you manage the symptoms and find instant relief without side effects.

Why essential oils?

Essential oils are highly concentrated aromatic substances distilled from plant materials. These substances are found in specialized cells or glands of certain plants. Not all plants produce essential oils. Below is the simple diagram of how essential oils are produced.

Inhalation is the most effective way to affect a result due to the volatile molecules in essential oils. Inhaled through olfactory, essential oils bypass the blood brain barrier and directly stimulate the limbic system of the brain to bring in neurological and physiological changes.

Inhalation can be done by diffusing via diffuser or inhalation via aromatherapy inhaler. Read more here about aromatherapy inhaler. In this case, we are going to use inhaler for its convenience and efficacy.

Following is the blend I used to get instant relief and was able to go on with my daily life.

  • 10 drops of Rosemary Rosmarinus officinalis as key oil to address the main symptom of dizziness due to its 1,8 cineole.
  • 8 drops of Ginger Zingiber officinale as supporting oil to address nausea which I also had, thanks to the high Sesquiterpene content. Brain and guts are intertwined, as the latest scientific research found out.
  • 6 drops of Lavender Lavandula angustifolia as harmonizing oil to bring the formula together due to its calming effect on the nervous system.

Blend all the above in a glass bowl and soak it all up with the cotton wick or cotton ball. That’s it. This will last about 3 months.
