Yeast Infection (Candida) and Essential Oils

My friend’s little girl who is 9 years old got yeast infection due to a strong antibiotics that her pediatrician prescribed for an infected elbow wound.

She got severe itching down there and red bumps all over her torso and face. And they were itchy too. Prescription painkiller didn’t help.

She has asthma, taking medication twice a day. Therefore, this is a very important factor to consider when choosing appropriate essential oils.

Due to her age and the compliance issue, I decided to use rectal suppositories to treat yeast overgrowth and a facial salve to alleviate the itchiness.

Facial salve I created has skin nourishing and healing Avocado oil, Tamanu oil, Jojoba IMG_9677oil, Coco butter and Shea butter. Together with anti-inflammatory, skin regenerative Chamomile German, Chamomile Roman, Chamomile Cape and Blue Tansy, this salve is soothing and alleviates the itchiness. 2 days later, her skin was almost back to normal.

Rectal suppositories: I chose Chamomile Roman, Geranium, Lavender, Thyme c.t.linalool and Sandalwood.

Thyme c.t. linalool and Geranium are the core essential oils that combat yeast overgrowth, Lavender and Sandalwood are anti-inflammatory, skin healing, supportive of the core oils, thus enhancing the therapeutic properties and bringing the emotional support. Lastly, Chamomile German brings harmonizing quality to this synergistic blend.

2 days later, mom reported that the itchiness down there had subsided and the little girl was almost her normal self again.
